These frozen s’mores are tasty and healthy (ish) snacks that are sure to satisfy any craving! They’re easy to make with lighter whipped topping and chocolate sauce sandwiched between crunchy graham crackers. Then chill in the freezer for a cold and sweet anytime treat!
Jump to RecipeThis Frozen S’Mores Snacks recipe evolved from an old Weight Watchers recipe as a way to indulge in a delicious frozen treat that’s ever-so-slightly healthier than an ice cream sandwich.
These are quick and easy to put together with ingredients you probably already have in the pantry and fridge. Instead of marshmallows and candy bars, we use lighter whipped topping and just the right amount of chocolate sauce. Not only is this combo delicious, the filling won’t freeze solid so they are easy to bite into no matter how long you wait to dig in.
The only downside is that it’s very hard to eat just one!
Recipe Ingredients
Graham crackers. Your favorite type and brand. There are lots of options! Use classic honey graham crackers, cinnamon, chocolate, or even gluten-free crackers.
Chocolate sauce. You can use any type of chocolate syrup, but the thicker hot fudge sauce is even better. There’s no need to heat it before spreading onto the crackers.
Whipped topping. I usually use whipped topping in a tub, but you can also use the fun kind in an aerosol can (I dare you not to spray some in your mouth while you make these)! Of course, you can use freshly whipped cream as well, although that almost seems too fancy for this snack.
How to Make (Healthier) Frozen S’Mores
- Lay out graham cracker squares on a parchment- or waxed paper-lined plate or tray. One serving of graham crackers is two sheets, which will make two frozen s’mores sandwiches.
- Spread a layer of chocolate syrup or hot fudge sauce (about 1 tablespoon per square) on half of the graham cracker squares.
- Add a thick layer of whipped topping (about another 1-2 tablespoons) to the other half of the graham squares and match up with a chocolate covered square to make a sandwich.
- Place finished s’mores into the freezer for at least 2 hours or until firm. Transfer to a zip top bag and store in freezer.
